🎨✨ Year 6 Art & History ✨🎨
Year 6 have been exploring Gassed by John Singer Sargent as part of their learning about World War II. The painting shows injured soldiers being guided after a gas attack and gave us the opportunity to discuss themes of bravery, vulnerability, and the realities of war.
Inspired by Sargent’s powerful use of light, tone, and body language, the children created their own artwork to express emotion, teamwork, and empathy.
We are incredibly proud of the thoughtfulness and maturity shown in their pieces. 🌟

⛰️🌲 Year 5 Residential Adventure! 🌲⛰️
What an incredible time our Year 5 pupils had on their residential! The children threw themselves into every challenge — from crawling through caves, tackling the high ropes in the trees, weaselling along the cliffs, and climbing the cargo net. 💪✨
What impressed us most was their determination and bravery. Every child made an effort to face their fears, support one another, and step outside their comfort zones. 🌟
They were a real credit to the school — fantastically behaved, encouraging, and resilient throughout the trip. We couldn’t be prouder of them! 💛👏

🕊️🎄 End of Term – Thank You 🎄🕊️
As we come to the end of term, we would like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make our end-of-term Mass so special. 🙏✨
The Mass was truly beautiful — thank you to the children and Joe for leading it so reverently, to Father Paul for celebrating with us, and to our wonderful choir, who sang so beautifully. 🎶💛
Thank you also to the parents and families who joined us; your presence made the celebration even more meaningful.
We would also like to extend a huge thank you for your generous donations during our 60th Jubilee year. Thanks to your kindness and support, we were able to purchase a new lectern, which will be used and cherished by our school community for many years to come. 🌟
We wish all our families a very happy Christmas, filled with peace, love, and joy. ❤️🕯️
